Geocel Acoustic FR Sealant is a flexible acrylic water based acoustic and fire rated sealant.
It is specifically formulated to form an acoustic and fire rated intumescent safety barrier that creates sealing gaps between plasterboard walls, floors and ceilings, dry linings, and kraft lined insulation boards to stop the passage of fire and heat.
Geocel FR adheres to all construction substrates and can be painted within one hour depending on the temperature and humidity, being acrylic the cold and damp weather can extend this time quite a lot.
It is widely used to rate interior partitions, ceilings, floors, doors, windows and exterior wall configurations and plays a big part in new building construction.
- Solvent free, non flammable, paintable and easy to use and clean up.
- Forms an acoustic and fire rated intumescent barrier.
- Up to 4 hour fire rating can be achieved with the correct building practices.
- Tested to BS EN 140 Part 3, BS EN 20140 and BS 476: Part 20: 1987.
